    Funny video.

    Wait, no. No it wasn't.

I can't wait to see all the egotistical holier-than-thou mac fans start spamming this video.

Because any number of PC people don't also have the same holier than thou attitude Ryan?
I grew up using a Mac and a PC, I like my Mac better. I don't use it anymore, because I destroyed it in a freak accident.

A good portion of people I knew/know [read: that isn't a mac user] Just bashed me and any other the over use of a Mac. It can't do anything. PC's are better. It always crashes. The one at school sucks. You only have one button, blah blah blah. I've never met a Mac user who had a Holier than thou attitude, I've only seen that in the stupid Apple commercials. For years this has happened, and suddenly it's a problem if Apple users do it? Hell, it never bothered me. I like both.

If Apple 'copied' or incoporated Windows-esque features, The video would be the same, only poking fun at Apple, not Microsoft

Of all the people on here, you're one of the people I'd think who wouldn't get caught up in bias'

Think of the Apple users you already know, who don't have that Attitude?
Can you think of anyone in particular?

I know who you are referring to there.

Not ALL mac users act that way, but I know far more PC-bashing mac fans than mac-bashing pc fans. When was the last time you saw a smug commercial where the main thrust was showing how superior the PC was to the Mac?

But beyond that, I am just plain sick and tired of the relentless crap directed at Microsoft. From all the idiotic "they make junk" crap to the supid "M$" jokes and the moronic virus complaints, I am just plain sick of it. It may be indefensible, but it's the way I feel.

That being said, I can appreciate the attempt at humor in the video.

That's all I wanted, big guy.
And I can totally understand how you feel. I've got a buddy who's so into macs when someone even brings up the Xbox, he's gotta run his mouth. He's difficult to keep on a leash.

I think Macs are way better than PCs... that being said - I sold my mac in favor of a PC. Mostly because I grew up on a PC and it's more natural to me. I love this new Idea of a Mac being able to boot up windows - my next Laptop will be a mac.

Look at it this way... Alot of people in this forum "grew up" on Automags. There's alot of better guns out there. Alot of us know that inside. But stick with the Automags cause we are comfy with them.

                      Let's see...he compared:

                      Cosmetic file explorer icons
                      Calendar program
                      Photo Organizing program

And rightly called them "superficial stuff." But then, he gets into the really important stuff like:

                      Search
                      Widgets vs. Gadgets
and the really really important app....chess!

Hey man, try making it through my school without chess on all the macs...
But no really. I think both macs and PC's have merits. I think PC's definately have the upper hand, but macs seem to be hanging on, and they have been for many years. It says something about them. It also says something about macs when their fanbase is so loyal. However, they may just be overcompensating for all the abuse they take from pc users...

Personally, I much prefer PC's. I use macs at school, and that's quite a bit since I do a lot of the computer work for journalism. I use PC's at home, and yes, I've grown up with them, but they seem so much more customizable to me. I don't mean hardware, I mean the operating system. It may just be that I haven't found the setting, but windows explorer on my computer is set up to by default, run with folders on the left, "details" view on everything else, except in my pictures folder, where it automatically switches view settings to "filmstrip." Again, I just might not know how to work macs, but they seem alot more difficult to personalize.

Sure, Vista might be taking a bunch of little add-ons from OSX, but the real difference, I believe, will be seen in the underlying function of the system. The video, while funny, should not be taken as representative of what Vista is.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

Macs have there place, win pc's have their place. IBM OS2 outperformed windows a long time ago but IBM no longer has any marketing savy and it tanked.

But those of us that really like to run a secure stable OS run Unix.

I haven't rebooted my SCo server in 18 months. The win server gets rebooted about once a month when it gets confused.

One of the graphics people here was a "don't take my mac from me" person. But when it died it would have taken about 2 grand to replace. We got a work horse pc for around a grand.

                            She loves it.

I knew it was built on a unix kernal, but can you get to it and write shell scripts etc?

Our macs are all older ones and can't run OSX.
