Once upon a time... a thread, simply titled "Pie Revolution", began 4 years ago, on this day - December 18th, 2002 at 11:20 PM Wisconsin Time.
The thread reigned as one of the top threads in the forum, and prompted a gathering at Sam's Big Game as the "Pie Orgy" to rival Tom Kaye's famous "Donut Orgy". Hundreds of forum members joined the Pie Revolution simply because they had a common interest: PIE. These members kept the thread going and even tipped it beyond the 200 page point, and was one of the largest threads ever created on AO.
But 3 days before its first birthday, Pie Revolution was deleted by Army on 12/15/03, and it was lost forever.
Today, on December 19th, 2006 - one day after Pie Revolution's fourth anniversary, it is being revived!
There is still only one membership requirement: You must like pie in one of its many forms (this includes cheesecake, deep dish pizza, etc. - if its made in a pie tin, it counts!)
But here's some additional rules for the new thread: all posts must be kept CLEAN - no offensive/abrasive images may be posted, no cussing (includes circumventing the filter), no personal attacks, and so on - lets let this thread LIVE FOREVER!
