I dont know if he was SAS or not, but it's said that he's Ex british Special Forces. He could either be SRR, SBS, or SAS.

My guess is that he takes more risks on drinking water he finds, knowing that his buddies will be picking him up in a few days.

He's pretty ballsy sometimes.

I'm not a fan of man vs. wild.

Now, 'Survival Man' was awesome.

It was ONE guy, not a camera crew.

He carried all his own video gear, and survived BY HIMSELF.

Don't know what happened to it though.

yeah Foreign legion i think, tooo.

this guy is insane. granted, he knows he has a lifeline but he tries to be as realistic as possible. At one point in one show he had to quit due to hypothermia,
