Here, if your going to make alcohol, at least make something that tastes good.
Heres a recipe for Apfelwein or hard cider. Its so easy to make too.
5 gallons Pastuerized Apple Juice. Tree Top for example
2 lbs of dextrose (corn sugar) about 1 dollar a pound Clicky
1 packet Montrachet Dry Champagne Yeast
Dissolve sugar into the juice. Pitch the yeast into and shake up to aerate.Let sit one month, then yeast will fall to bottom. Siphon cider off of the top. It will be very dry, but you can add some more sugar to sweeten it back up.
it should be around 10-11% ABV
