    WMP problem

mmk so some movies wont play on my windows media player anymore, when i send the error message it says:

The problem was caused by MPEG Encoder, which was created by MainConcept AG. You are running a demo version of MPEG Encoder, which is no longer supported by MainConcept AG.

and it goes on to tell me i need to buy this BS program..wtf is that about...so i get windows when i buy my computer and it comes with WMP so after a year i guess they decide i need to pay them some more money..man wtf..

anyway, anyone have a free fix for this..?

What version of WMP are you running? Download WMP 11 if you don't have it yet: http://www.download.com/Windows-Medi...ml?tag=lst-0-2

Try and find the MPEG Encoder program on your computer and uninstall it. How did it get on your comp. in the first place?

On a side note, they took away the "change to skin mode" button in WMP 11 so now you have to Ctrl+2 to go to skin mode...lame!

Im running 10..i had 11 when it quit converting the movies...so i uninstalled and installed 10 to see if it would work, and i just havn't upgraded back to 11

Ye i can't find it...and i dont know how it got on my computer i assumed it was built into WMP.

I've never had this happen to any of my other computers though.
