The last time you fel "old" or "older"

when was the last time you felt old or older? Now this is relative i suppose, because you can be in you late to mid 20's and feel old. Heck, you can be 18 and feel old when your with company.

Anyway last week my buddy had a get together at his place. There was about 10-15 people there and quite an age range of people there from 19yr to 30yr. Most of us got a little buzzed and stoopid. At one point it turned into a dance party of sorts. So one of the younger kids (from Southern,CA) plugs in her ipod and starts bumpin' 80's dance and rock tracks. I didnt mind it at all, in fact i was having fun. But at one point i realized, this girl wasn't even a zygote in the 80's and she knows the lyrics to all the horribly fun dance songs we were dancing to. For gods sakes when the hell was the last time you danced to Debie Deb?

As for feeling old...every day! Physically, I think I'm alright...but my lower back problems I can't seem to get rid of really slows me down sometimes. No amount of stretching, massages, exercise or sitting in the jacuzzi can releive me of the pain.

Luckily for me, my back pains doesn't hamper my childhood like tendancies.

When my back and knees pop when I roll out of bed every morning...

When I walk with a limp and have 4 herniated discs in my lower back due to abusing my body for way too many years and too many car accidents....

When the weather drops sub freezing, or the day before it rains I can feel it in every joint in my body....

When a 12 and 15 year old ask when I started playing, and I tell them 17 years ago - and they say - Wow, paintball was around wayyyy back then?...

When 6 shots of Tequilla is enough now, when I used to drink out of the bottle...

When I play paintball for 4 hours and hurt for 4 days afterwards....

When my wife plucks the grey hairs out of the side of my head, and more recently my beard...

edit - looking in Pyro's 10000th post thread. When Phil said 'YEARS LATER' and I realized how much time I've wasted here. I guess that doesn't make me feel old, just pathetic.

im not sure if you could consider this or not...

i have an august birthday, so i am ahead of everyone as far as age in school. i am 16, most everyone else is 15 (or turning 16) and my freshman friends are 14. whenever i hang out with people its like "hey guess what! alex can drive! lets go to X!" and it doesent help the fact that i can grow a beard if i wanted to... (yay russian side of the family) but im starting to feel really old. lol. even thought in the grand scheme im young, but in this instance im older. and its like... O.o
