Then explain how he did it? If he had not pulled the wires back up on the desktop I would also...going to have to try this though

I tried it. Didn't work. I'm still willing to believe I did something wrong though.

It could be some weird chemical reaction with the type of wax or something. Who knows. Electricity is some crazy stuff.

nails could be pushed in to touch another nail going through the bottom of the candle through the table with a 12v connection to it.

no he picks up the candles when he puts the nails and you cant see anything protruding from the table
edit: but there are inconsistencies on the timing of the electronic and the candle. Sometimes it takes awhile for the wick to light and the light goes instantly on and other times it takes a second to turn on
edit- he could have made his own candles for a battery in the middle

I see no reason reason why that should work for 2 reasons.

                        a) you cant induce magnetism in a ferrous substance by "rubbing a common magnet against it" - for a few seconds nonetheless

                        b) Wax, as a basic hydrocarbon, has no special electrical properties. What the heck would lighting a small flame 3" above nails change in it's structure to create a current flow in an incomplete current.

We call shens... defend your assumption. And asking for proof of existence of the contrary is very weak.

If he did actually do that, then it may be easier to produce scientific evidence as to the matter at hand - versus coming up with an explanation of how he actually did it (as there many ways to decieve people).

First person to show evidence of how this actually works (if indeed true) gets a $1 paypal + fees.
