    My European Adventure last Oct.

The misses and I went on a Celebrity Cruise from Dover England all around Europe and back for 2 weeks last October. I have been meaning to post up some pics but just never got around to it. I think I shot over 500.

Pic#1 The Cliffs of Dover as seen from the back of the ship.

Pic#2 First stop, AMSTERDAM, Holland. Yes, everything you hear is pretty much true. That being said, you are not permitted to take pictures in some of the more interesting places. Pretty much the only thing I can talk about is our tour of Anne Frank's house. :-) (Which we werent allowed to take pics of anyhow)

Pic#3 Brugge, Belgium. One of the better surprises on the trip. Brugge is immaculate. Alot of old world architecture, and centuries old buildings and sites. There are plenty of "Belgium Chocolate" stores all over, as well as some of the best muscles I have ever eaten. As with most of Europe, people still talk about the war here like it just ended.

Pics #3 & 4 Paris, France: The Arch of Triumph and Eiffel Tower. For our tour of Paris, we decided on a "On our own walking tour", which basically meant us, a map and out feet. There were about 12 of us that were traveling together, so my wife somehow ended up being the tour guide.

As long as you make an attempt to speak to people with a bit of French, they werent too bad. Not as bad as you hear. Although my father's friend almost got ripped off 20 Euros for a bottle of coke.

We hit all of the touristy places, The Eiffel tower, the Arch of Triumph (when did they ever "Triumph" over anything?), the Louve, and a few other things I cant remember at the moment.

Pics #5 & 6 Stirling Castle and a statue of Robert the Bruce, Scotland.

Guinness isn't bitter - it's stout, more akin to an Ale

Shame you didn't hit the West country - real Scrumpy (served in plastic or glass, never metal!) would have put hairs on your chest for sure.

Other than Ireland, Belgium is the only other place I would go back to. Well, the UK too, all I got to see was the airport and 3 hrs of country side on the bus en route to port at Dover.
