    I've discovered that Myspace is full of idiots...

    ...that can't, don't, or won't comprehend what they read.I mean really what gives with this meat market mentality?

    Allow me to explain.

    I just started up a Myspace to keep in touch with members of my paintball team (twisted). Before I could even finish my profile, post a pic, or anything I have this 22 year old girl from Atlanta sending me messages and email. Telling me how interesting she thought I was and blah blah....I figure its just some sort of phishing I am not familiar with or some thing. I write her back that I didn't start the space for that type of activity, thanks anyway, neither me or my wife would appreciate it.
    So I get back another email with a bunch of more than suggestive pics from some young blond chick. Quite attractive, but let me tell you, my wife were to even think I was hunting trim online or encouraging this type of thing I would live a long miserable broke existance. I have no need nor desire for that kind of mess. Hell I have enough trouble with one, what do I want more for? lol

    Is this common on Myspace?

          Make your profile private, require users to add you to their friends list before contacting, etc. There are some privacy options...

          Occasionally I get someone who randomly tries to friend me, otherwise, I've never gotten what you've described.
          you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

                          that's happened to me once. but i have had a bunch of random ppl add me. im nice, so i usually accept the add, then ignore them lol. there's enough ppl from different places i know, i dont wanna risk pissing off someone i just dont recognize from their myspace pic.

                          anyway, i agree myspace is full of idiots. myspace will be the downfall of man one day

                              The best are random bands and advertisers that try to add you... I get like 3 band requests a week at least

                                          myspace is full of idiots... but those are just spammers. i get one or two of those messages a week. half the time their account is deleted in a few days.

                                                      I doubt that it would be popular. I started one on facebook some time ago and nobody uses it. There are only like 30 or 32 of us in it...

                                                          yeah i get a few random friend requests a week, usually its some hot "chick" which means its probably some dude competeing with one of his buddy's trying to see who can get the most friends.

                                                          they are getting more and more creative lately.



                                                          i get a few band requests every once in awhile, i'll listen to them but i usually don't add them unless i like them.
