anyone into r/c cars?

i've been getting back into them lately.

running a RC10T from the 80's at the local track, just on Test and tune days, nothing crazy.
still trying to get this losi XXXBK together got it as a partially assembeled kit that was partially missing, not cool but oh well you know?


waiting for the track's outdoor track to be finished so i can run the TMAXX on it.

I've got a T-maxx, a Sandmaster, an Inferno. The Sandmaster is an older model 2wd truck, and the Inferno is a 4wd car that sits kinda low like a rally car or something like that. I bought the sandmaster and inferno at an auction for $100 each so they were cheap enough I couldn't pass them up. All 3 of them are nitro powered... gotta love that smell and sound! It's been about a year since I've fired any of them up. I need to take them out and run them sometime, but there's always too much crap going on.

Post up some pics of your r/c cars! I'll try and get some of mine taken here in a day or two. Unfortunately all my r/c stuff is at our new house and the camera and computer is here at the old one.

I have an old Traxxas Nitro Hawk stadium truck and an old Team Losi elec. xt.

I use to race back in the late 80's / early 90's.

I use to race just about all classes you could in electric cars.

I was sponsored by a few companies.

I still have all my stuff.

I am sure I am missing a few.

I ran mostly all Novak electronics (I had a couple Tekin tourque adjusting Speed controls) and my radios were all Futaba (Jr's, Sr and PCM).

I ran Revtec modified motors and Trinity stock (unless they were supplied by the event).

All my batteries were Sanyo.

I ran Novak and Turbo Chargers.

My power supply was made by Pyramid.

Yeah...I was pretty serious about it. I was even in a few issues of RC Car Action.

you were running what 1800mah cells back then?

1300mah was the norm.

they sell 4500mah packs.

lipo packs go up to like 8000mah.

they are crazy now.

I can only imagine the gearing you could do with that. The key back them was to gear the car so it ran exactly 4min and then die. If you were able to get more than a few extra laps at the end of the race, you were geared wrong.

i've got a 2.5 that has a pull start, can have your ez start swapped on it. had ~1 gallon through it after break in. PM for price.

I'm actually trying to get back into R/C.

Getting ready to order a Raptor 50 Heli this week. So I can start learning 3d.

Never really got into the cars for some reason, but really wish I would have.
