wooden waterskis (ceder) please help I only have a month

i like to be traditional making my own stuff when ever i can, i wouldnt call myself old school, ive made lacrosse sticks, chairs, boxs, frames, pool qs, basically anything that i want that i think i can make myself out of wood, so i am not new to this type of thing but i am new to making waterskis

i know how im going to make it (like all the procedures and stuff) ive actually made 2 beofore but out of birch and one out ot mahogany (thats what most wooden ones are made from)
,but i want to make out out of ceder (looks nice and she loves the smell) this time, its for my girlfriend, we kinda met through waterskiing (kinda, long romantic story lol) so i want to make it so we can each ride it once then have it on the wall as a decoration at the cottage but i dont know how well ceder will last as a water ski? will it stay bent? and most importanly will it be able to take my weight? im about 180lbs

ive never seen a ceder ski before so if anyone knows thier woods can help that would be great

Are you going to use power tools, or manual stuff? I've been researching on woodworking recently.
