Awesome Dead Tree

Is anyone besides me fascinated with dead trees ?
Saw an awesome one today and just happened to have the camera with me.
My daughter is going to have big fun with this on Photoshop.

Yeah there's a lot of gnarly looking dead trees. That one you have a pic of is pretty cool. We have a bunch of wierd/odd trees down on our river bottom land. Some growing sideways, some making arches, some that fell over and continued to grow. Crazy stuff.

Thats a nice one with a lot of sky behind it. The sky makes a nice backdrop.
I wanted to get closer but the one I took a pic of was way out in the middle of a pasture.
I didnt want to climb a fence, especially when I dont know what large critters are in the field.
I would have liked to get closer with a shorter lense and get more sky behind the subject.
As it was I was a heavy 100 yards from the tree.
