Yet another motorcycle thread

My little friend Arthur back home just decided to get a motorcycle. He got himself a Yamaha Warrior 1700cc. The thing is, Im much bigger than he is, much better funded, and slightly stupider. As such, I need a bigger bike than him. What is a better bike: Suzuki M109R or a Triumph Rocket III? This will be a slight step up from a really crappy 150cc Chinese bike Ive been riding, me thinks.

Hmmm. I don't really know anything about cruisers. One thing I would consider would be the availability/cost of parts or labor for one of the big 4 Japanese companies vs Triumph.

After 5 minutes of looking at each on the internet, the Triumph looks cooler.

I haven't heard good things about Triumph. Especially service.
A local dealer dropped the whole line because it was hell to deal with them.
You should ride them both but I would have to go with the Suzuki.
I've ridden the Triumph and I didn't like how it handled.
Lots of power but that was about it.

How about a V-Rod.
They're awesome.

Porsche developed the engine for them 'cause they couldn't keep it running.

I Drive a 2002 R1, and I love sport bikes because they just make the most sense to me. They have the best control, acceleration, speed, stopping power. Hands down the handing is what sells me. The comfort is just fine, I normally do not drive it for more then a hour would out stoping, and I am perfectly fine for 2 hours atv a time on my R1, even being 6 foot 4 inches 250 pounds. So it just makes the most sense, I am happy


Now I have always had a bit of something against Harley's. There engine mounts suck, I have seen to many that leak from the factory, and typically I just do not dig the look...oh and did I mention I hate the sound of them? It sounds like some one through a monkey wrench into the cylinders. So when I first heard my dad wanted to get a Harly V-Rod I was repulsed, he t9old me to do som re-search on it for him...

So the more and more I looked into it the more I liked it. I love the styling on it compared to any other cruiser, and the best part! Harley does not make the engine! Now it makes sense why my dad chose that bike, he has owned a few Porsche's and duh he picks a bike with a Porsche engine in it. He got it a few days ago and the over all bike is smaller then I thought it would be, only thing I can't really stand about it is how far forward the front wheel is and how stiff the clutch is.....thats why I drive sport. But the bike is almost 2 times as heavy as my r1 and only 130cc's bigger, yet it puts out the same amount of torque and 40 hp less.
