So the draft just started. You are all lame for not having a thread going before I made one during the 3rd pick. So to summarize:

1- Raiders, J. Russel Thats a big duh
2- Lions, C. Johnson Wow. They have no QB, no offensive line, 5 million other holes, and they take a WR with their #1 pick for the 87th time in a row. Theyve got about 4 minutes to trade him before Matt Millen recieves the Dumbest Football Guy Ever Award
3- Browns, J. Thomas Good pick, they need OL more than they need Peterson or Quinn right now.
4- Tampa, G. Adams Im suprised they didnt select Quinn what with their hard on for hoarding quarterbacks
5- Cardinals, L Brown Hopefully theyll be able to open some holes for Edge now
6- Redskins, L Landry They needed another safety like they need the clap. Probably the best defensive player in the draft though.
7- Vikes, A Peterson Insert expletives here. Why do they need another running back who cant stay healthy? They already have plenty of those
8- Falcons, J Anderson Hes over rated. Not really much else they could do with their pick though
9- Dolphins, T Ginn Hmm... they do need a wide reciever and a returner, so it makes some sense. I guess they passed on Quinn because theyre set on getting Trent Green from the Chiefs.
10- Texans, A. Okoye This kid is outstanding. He should make that puke they drafted last year into a less useless bum.
11- Niners, P. Willis Good pick. Their offense is pretty good, and this guy will help them transition to the 3-4 scheme that they want.
12- Bills, M Lynch Way too early to take this kid, but they didnt exactly have too many other options.
13- Rams, A Carriker Makes enough sense. How fricken far is Quinn going to fall, this is getting ridiculous.

I think the Browns shouldve went for someone else. Either Quinn or, well, i guess Peterson.
Sure they need a line. But, I dont like Charlie Frye, and Anderson, can be good, but i doubt it.

That may be exactly what theyre thinking. They can probably even get him in round 4. Cant exactly get any stud linemen around that time.

they are on pick 22 atm with dallas... so quinn SHOULD fall another spot to 23 at least

Detroit actually improved their offensive line rather well with the additions of Edwin Mulitalo and George Foster. They also traded for Tatum Bell and signed TJ Duckett. The two of those should be capable of running the ball until Kevin Jones gets back (if he gets back). They traded Mike Williams (and McNown) to the Raiders, so now they only have two first round receivers.

Tampa Bay doesn't need any more QBs. They already have three legit starters. Why take another one.

Miami's pick makes no sense to me. Ginn was a HUGE reach for the Dolphins. Only thing that makes sense is that they were madly in love with him and couldn't find anyone to trade with at all.

Being a Redskins fan, I'm now Browns fan. Holy crap, the Cowboys may have just gotten a Top 5 pick next year. I hope Quinn is worth it . . .

Ginn's injury still wasn't healed during his pro day. He had to stop his workout several times. Even if he's healthy, he's not worth the #9 pick.

Cleveland will be improved. They have a better running game and a LT who can actually block (hopefully). And Quinn is probably better now than Frye.

Yes, Detroit has big holes, but how is it bad that they passed on the best player in the draft? They also got the QB of the future in Stanton. With Martz coaching him, and those weapons, Stanton will be pretty good. You can't fix a team as bad as Detroit in one draft.

They already have a draft, only you have to have gotten out of the military already to qualify for it.

Winners:
Browns- Giving up next years first rounder is tough to swallow, but getting two pojected top-5 picks and a conerback who was the potenial to to become a very good starter in your first 3 picks makes you a winner in THIS years draft.
Patriots- Randy Moss for a 4th round draft choice makes you a winner. Miawether will be very good too.
Jets- They got a solid man to man CB and a MLB who will start next year. Solid draft.
Panthers- Beason will help right away. Jarrett will step in as a 3rd WR and take over Keyshewns's role when he retires. Charles Johnson would have been a 1st rounder next year. and Kahil is going to be a great center.


Losers:

The Packers needed to get Favre a running game. Last year he was actually pretty good and they had a consistent running game, albeit, from several different RBs. Though, they should be pissed that they couldn't get Moss for a 4th . . .

No, they need two inside linebackers. A middle linebacker in a 4-3 has a different role than an inside linebacker in a 3-4.
