    I would say that is true of any weapon. You need to know your weapon of choice, glock, XD, or anything else. I know my 1911 wont fire without me wanting it to.         Cocked and locked, condition 1, whatever you want to call it refers to carrying it with the hammer back and safety on - its actually considered safer than hammer forward safety off (you cannot engage the safety with the hammer forward) because the safety blocks the firing pin IIRC.

              Although as noted, it is expensive, I love the safety/decock arm on my USP. Nice looking Glock, I am a fan of the design, I just preferred the SA/DA/decock of the USP.
