i mean no doubt its formulaic, all the plot devices are far too coincedental but you know...so what?

For me, it was definitely the low point of the series. I'm over the fact that, when making comic book movies, people feel the need to change things they shouldn't for no reason. I'm past the overwhelming desire to try to make things funny to appeal to a wider audience. I'm alright with suspending all reality or common sense in what is supposed to be a more realistic version of a fantasy world.
However.
With Venom finally appearing I was hoping for something much darker and more intense. Apparently Venom is just a sad little emo pansy who's no good with women.... perhaps Venom is just going through puberty and all the changes are messing him up as well as getting him a little too excited about girls. It was supposed to be funny. It was, briefly, then the other 30 minutes were just painful.
I've got some other issues with the movie but whatever. I'm still glad I went to see it, just to share the moment with some buddies but I don't see myself wanting to see it again. The fact that it was so bad compared to the other two is a shame. If you liked the other two you might love this one so go see it. That wasn't the case for me but don't let that stop you. I did, however, figure out why no one was smiling as they left the theater when I was waiting to get in.
