I saw it last night, drove 200 miles to see it

I loved it, it was awsome. I personally thought he was pretty cool as an emo kid. I also found it to be better than the previous 2. Overall, even if youre not totally into it, its worth seeing. Venom was kind of a pansy though.

As a stand alone movie I think it was average at best, but compared to the first two it was by far the worst. I went to a midnight showing on thursday night and with about 10 minutes left to the film people were standing up and leaving already.

Will this movie make alot of money yes, but is it good no by no means.

        It was awesome.

I have noticed one thing though, and this is without exception. Everyone ive talked to that DOESNT like it, didnt collect comics as a kid. I noticed that those who DID collect (myself included.....BIG TIME lol) loved it.

I dunno, maybe its because we fans are a forgiving lot, but i thought it was excellent. Better than 2, and almost as good as 1. FANTASTIC FLICK.

Venom, however, was a bit dissapointing. Apparently Sam Raimi just didnt get what made teh charecter so great....oh well. I still loved it. every second.

That's one of my pet peeves about the movie. There were so many major plot twists that depended entirely on coincidence, it started getting old.

Good action movie though, but I could do without the drama.

                  I didn't like it.

The first half was boring, the second half was like a bad beegee's music video.
I wanted Mary Jane to die so bad.
                  And jesus, Harry?

                  'Yo, you like street fighter?'
                  'Street fighter....fighter....spider.....SPIDERMAN'
                  /rampage

                  Topher grace was good but.

Sandman needed less screen time, Venom needed MORE screen time.

Venom should have refered to 'himself' as we.

Thanks Sam Raimi. I hate you.

It was ok. Honestly I can't expect too much, Hollywood has been screwing up comic book movies for a wile now so expecting it to be right on the money is not an option.

All in all, the biggest thing I feel hurt the movie was Black spidy/Venom connection. I didn't collect spiderman books as close as I did others, but I did follow it. I would have liked to seen more of Parker with the symbiote. If I remember right, a large section of issues were just about him with the Black costume. That section of the movie went by too fast for me.

Also Venom is just so disappointing. Nothing like the Venom of the comics (Hell even the cartoon show) that I remember. They did not even play on the fact that Parkers spider-sense can't pick up on Venom. That was one of the most menacing things about Venom and it's not even in the movie. Sad to see that they only had one fight with him in the entire flick. I hope Venom doesn't go the way of Darth Maul and has another appearance in a later movie.

Not trying to nit-pick it to death, but it just seems to me that Raimi missed the point of some of the developments that happen in the comics. Maybe it would have been better if it was spread out over 2 movies.

I dunno it was good, just not the best.

you know, thinking back, there was just waay too much going on in the story. The parts i really do appreciate other than the fight scenes, were the "character study" moments of Parker as a Spiderman. Specifically, the morals and ethics that drove him as a superhero.

As i understand, Raimi grew up reading spiderman and is somewhat versed in Spiderman lore. Raimin hated the venom character.

...ever in the continual search of time dilation.

Maybe the reason for the lackluster performance. Seriously, Topher? How could that kid be picked up as Venom. He was this huge crazy hateful sob that could beat the hell out of Spidey at any moment.

Hopefully Carnage will make an appearance with better results.

I was heavily disappointed in Venom as portrayed. Add to all the shortcomings the mentality - this great plan to come up with allies and lure Spidey into a trap - from Venom?

To be honest I really would rather see more Venom development than Carnage in a future move.

Would be nice to see Venom come back at a later date. Maybe they could play on the whole Spidy-sense can pick him up so Parter couldn't tell he really didn't die kinda thing.

                                Just me dreaming though.

I'm so sorry Venom, we tried.
