    Finally getting a CBR900RR!!!!!!!

I am so stoked!!! I haven't been able to convince the wife that I even need one of these things, lol, but am finally able to fit one in the budget.

Its a 98 model that needs a good paintjob. The fairings are in decent shape, just roughed out in primer right now. It has some mild damage from a fall, but nothing that affected it more than cosmetics. Runs really well, has 14K on it, good tires and brakes.

Should have it here in a week or two if all goes as planned. I am taking a hit to my paintball collection for it, but I have wanted one of these for many years. Haven't ridden a sportbike since my Hurricane. Fell in love with CBR's and now have one my size.

Keep the rubber-side down, wear your gear always, and have fun!
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

THAT is the truth. I have been riding a Harley for a few years now. Just wasn't my style. I am passing the Harley on to my wife who loves it much....the CBR just goes so much faster than I remember even w/o trying.
On the test ride the other weekend I pulled out and just mildly went through the gears to look down and see 85 registering. Didn't feel like I was moving at all.

It's scary how fast you can go in just first gear. Congrats on the bike. Try to keep at least one wheel on the ground.

If you don't mind, what did you pay?

She cost me 2K. Just got her home tonight. Probably going to ride it in to work tomorrow morning....
I will get some pics up after I clean her up a bit, which will probably be next week. I am doing nothing beyond getting a battery, and riding the crap out of her this weekend.

Good plan. For people that actually use their motorcycles, keeping them super clean is way to much work. Just shine it up for a picture then ride the crap out of it.
