    Someone must live out there.

    Lemme know what needs to be known about this place. My company may relocate people out there, and if I said yes, it'd involve a promotion since none of our management seems to want to move.

    Nice place, things to do, etc?

    it's about 35 miles from detroit.. detroit is a crap-hole.

      Yeah that was the first thing that went through my head...

      I looked on CityData though and the average household incoming is over $80k, so it can't be too bad.

          It is worth moving for one reason: You can live by Exit 69: Big Beaver Rd. (I'm not kidding)

          I read the Throum post, and, based on my experiences there, I would agree with the person from Rochester. I grew up in Lake Orion, which right next to Rochester. You can probably find good housing, if not in Troy, then in the area. With the auto industry in the situation it is, my dad tells me that there are crazy numbers of houses for sale.

              Nothing is even close to happening yet, even if they move my department it won't be till July 08. I just got an early heads up from a friend in management.

                I went to Troy for something..I think there were some really run down outlet malls there or something...may have been somewhere else in MI though.
