The comment about Bungie is that since they got bought by Microsoft, they have released two major titles way too early (Halo and Halo 2). If you look at some of their previous work, it's much more polished. Heck, Marathon 2 is longer than Halo 1 & 2 combined.

Well to be honest ive never really played any of there previous work. Guess because I really only played console till a couple of months ago when I got a nice gaming rig. Guess I will have to look into those games but I still think Halo and Halo 2 are really nice games.

Halo 1 single player: nice, different from the normal FPS imo
Halo 1 multi player: one word, pistol.
Halo 2 single player: not so nice
Halo 2 xbl: very nice

Looks like the new mecanicism is multi tiered maps wth height playing a big part. Units that can traverse the ledges will have a huge advantage. Looks cool to me.

I'm gonna get it. Starcraft was one of my favorite games of all time, up there with D2 and FF7.
I mean, look. People STILL play the original starcraft online today, and it came out what, 10+ years ago? That's pretty impressive. It's got a lot to live up to.

Their best work is the Marathon series. Google for "Aleph One" - it's all three Marathon games, updated to all run on the most recent graphic engine (Infinity). Serious. Best shooters ever.

I really admire the Blizzard team for being one of the few shops willing to stick with a project "until it's done" and not cave to the pressure to release at a certain time. Looking at you Bungie.

Also notice that the dropship sounds similar to the pilots in Alien.

Who cares though... it's a game and it's a darn entertaining one at that. I've been waiting for the sequel. I hope they don't gay it out like WOW (which ruined the WarCraft series for me).

I went to 5 stores the past 2 days and all of the ARE OUT OF STOCK FOR STARCRAFT 1. I wanted to play some since I'm so psyched for sc2....
