Travian. Online browser based game, midevil setting, make cities and attack, raid other cities to get resources to build armies, etc. I've been playing a couple weeks I guess, and I'm hooked. I'd like to see some people from AO on there! I would be glad to get anyone into my alliance that wanted to.

By the way if you do start, begin on server 2. Server 1 is fairly mature, although it's not impossible to succeed you're facing people with longer time online. If on server 2, I'd be glad to send some resources to help you get started. Let me know.

Different stuff, build buildings, get fields, etc. I'll send you some resources to help you out some. Don't worry much about buildings right now though, you want the resources first. Think- you could have fields producing for an extra 2 days, or a random building for 2 days. Get the fields first, then go for other stuff. Also don't worry about an army too soon. You have 4 days in newbie protection, so you won't be attacked anytime soon, but when your four days are up, make sure to have enough crannies to protect yourself from raids (crannies don't let you hold more, they hide what you have from raiders)

what are good production numbers leaving the protection period? It seems to be taking a long time to be able to afford the upgrades to the fields mines ect.

It will take a while, and I honestly don't remember the resource production I had when I left the protection period. I will say that for a little while, the resource production will pay off in the end. Southpaw, did I ever send you any resources?

Also, make sure that your crannies cover the highest amount of resources you will ever have- like after you sleep, etc. It doesn't necessarily HAVE to be as big as your total maximum- if you always spend it before you top out, then whatever max you have would be the size of your crannies.

No you didnt ever send me resources. It seems very slow going waiting hours to upgrade. Should I keep the return even or make one much more than the others?

I'll send you some stuff then. For now, you should make them relatively even (wheat could be low). Later you will start needing more of one thing than another, but until you start to notice a great need for something you'll be fine.

So I've been playing Travian for a little over a week now, lots of fun...

I love the way Travian plays, but I'm looking for another game to help fill in some down time.

Question... why is my wheat production so low when I have like 4 level 1 fields, a level 3 field, a level 4 field and a level 5 field? I get 7 per hour and should be getting a couple hundred...
