Regardless of who you might think has "stolen" anything it is the responsibility of your roommate to NOT LEAVE CASH LAYING AROUND!!! I have had lots of roommates and it sounds like a lame excuse to me. Although you cannot prove anything I geuss you are stuck with coming up with the rest of the $$$ to pay the rent if he cannot? That is a gamble with roommates. I would say that if it happens a second time then it is a lame excuse on the part of the roommate. Good Luck!!! Threatening to fight or actual fighting will get you NO WHERE except in jail!!

Yeah, I figured that its his fault for leavig cash laying around. If he cannot come up with the money then I am going to kick him out. Fighting never really crossed my mind, the older I get the more I realize that if its not worth dying for its not worth fighting for. Thanks for the advice guys.
