AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
did you stay a bit through the credits? starscream exits earth's atmo. and it is hollywood, of course there is going to be a sequel! i am hoping for a Beast Wars story!!
but yeah, there are at 4 agressive bots left on earth. there is the Dew-bot, the X-bot, Escalade-bot, and the scorpion bot. who knows what could happen!
somehow i dont think those three really count. but on the second time watching it Barricade, the police car charger was also left. the last time we saw him was on the highway right before bonecrusher and opto got into it.

The final battle was so damn confusing, I don't know who died or lived. In fact, until the end, I hadn't realized exactly who had been ripped in half, and if it was Megatron or Starscream that had done it.
It was an okay movie. Bay butchered it less than I had feared, though parts of it were still pretty bad. The special effects were absolutely great, and the action sequences were pretty damn cool. Why in the hell, though, is it so hard for movies to get small little details right? Why do I have to hear them say "Scramble the F-22s" and then see F-16s on a runway? Why do I have to hear about "Defcon Delta?" Why do I have to hear about them talking about sabot rounds, and then see them shooting them out of low-velocity 40mm grenade launchers? Is it REALLY that hard to keep some sort of realism, even in a work of fiction? That just bugs me.

I noticed the f-22/f-16 thing too and the sabot rounds. I also like how the chick was saying "you have a high rise double carb in this car".....yet no carb was in the car. All fuel injection.
But i know what you mean about the final fight scene too. It took seeing it twice to be able to catch it all.

Oh god so true lol. I was happy that Starscream was an F22 though. I heard rumors that he was going to be a helicopter. That would have equaled massive phail.
i feel bad that jazz died... he was always my favorite (and they made him soo black??). but yea, the graphics were well done. i just wished that there were more characters...

were some of the decepticons not original?
Yeah, I gotta echo that sentiment. Jazz and Bumblebee were always my favs. Only graphics I thought were crappy were the tank in robot mode. I think the only Decepticons that were original were Starscream and Megatron. I have mixed feelings on Frenzy. He was cool, but I would have liked to see Soundwave. Supposedly he started out as such but the personality didn't fit with Soundwave so they changed the name. I thought there were enough characters, but there wasn't enough screen time for most of the Decepticons, and not enough backstory. How did the rest of the Decepticons come to be on the Earth? Why are they attacking now? WTH were they doing on Mars? I thought the 'bat-signal' was dumb. I thought the Buffulo and Blackout both went down a little to easilly. Same with Jazz. And the end was both good and bad. Any sequal is just not gonna fly without Megatron. The Autobots giving up on Cybertron seemed awfully defeatist to me. And while Prime sending out a hail at the end was good, the whole 'voyuer-bot' scene was corny.
galvatron!??! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH that would be great!!!
then that means hot rod and the other truck guy (i forgot his name) has to be in the movie too! they missed soundwave in this movie... i thought it was the radio at first...
are they considering the first movie to be cannon and be slightly relavent to the first movie? i don't own it but i do remember a crap ton of autobots being destroyed in the first 5 minutes or so. Maybe that's why there aren't a ton of bots.
