Repack it. Its supposed to be covered with grease. No harm no foul though. Its just that it will eventually rust if you don't keep that covered with grease. Then it will get hard to turn the velocity. So when you get a chance repack that with grease.Originally posted by Auto_Rookya i also cleaned that big spring in the back by the velocity.. it was PACKED with grease so i tooke alot off...Comment

If you left a decent coating on it then fugedaboudit. But yea that will work in a pinch. Just keep it covered to prevent rust is all.Comment

Hi Folks, I think I'm experiencing the same problem w/ bolt sticking and then some.
I've just recently bought a used RT (the old style, I know AGD bastard child) from ebay really cheap. I shot it a few times and worked great. I then decided to drop my level 10 bolt into the RT. After going thru all of the instructions and all I aired it up and it fired once fine. But after firing it would reseat itself too far back and then after like 10-30 seconds you would hear the click of the sear grabbing the bolt. Then it would fire fine.
I changed to a lighter and heavier spring, same thing, I chanced the carrier and same thing. Added and removed shims, same thing. So I decided to take the level 10 out and put the stock bolt assembly back in and now the damn thing doesn't seem the fire at all. I've checked the air and everything and nothing. The mag does seem to air up but when I pull the trigger, there is pressure but it doesn't seem to be enough to fire the mag. I looked at the gauge on my tank and it reading around 800psi and about 2000psi.
Dude, could anyone help me? I'm going to Boston this weekend to play and I would RT but I'm strapped for cash and this puppy was cheap.
So please help a brother out..... :oComment

have you Oiled everything very well , sounds to me (and im not a expert) that your on/off pin is sticking , oil that up and see what that does,
does the gun do anything at all ? does it leak air if so from where , try and give us everything it does to help you solve your problem.
also is that tank of yours adjustable?Comment

I oiled that puppy so bad that its like if it were a White Castles weekend, if you know what I mean by that.
I thought the same thing, that the problem might be w/ the on/off valve and pin but that sucker is super lubed.
When I gas the RT up is seems to accept the air. I mean i feel the pressure behind the trigger. But when I pull the trigger nothing happens, like of there isn't enough pressure. On my tank its reading about 800psi/2000psi. I know 2000psi is a bit low but it should be enough, I would think.
If I adjust the velocity it does leak like how it is suppose to when the Level 10 meets its pressure thresholds.
One thing that my cuz told me was that the regulator valve and the power tube must be aligned properly. I didn't notice if it was lined up or not but I'll check when i get home.Comment

You haven't pulled your Regulator Pin assembly out and oiled it from what you telling me... we just talked about that. Review the diagram for the RT. Find the regulator pin and pull it out. Might take some force. Inspect it. If its alright then oil it and make sure the oring and brass cover go back on. Its sticking it sounds to me. And so not charging up fully each time. Its not something you can get oil to through the lines easy.
Then also think about changing your inner on off oring if that doesn't do it.Comment

Hey Cphilip, Thanks a ton. I took a look at the regulator pin assembly. It looked ok except the middle o-ring had a cut in it. I oiled it up and reassembled the RT w/ the Level 10 bolt. I gassed it up and it shots
There still a slight sticking. But only for a split second. I'm think its because I have to break in the o-rings on the level 10. Could this be the case?
I didn't get a chance to break in the o-rings late night cuz it was really late. But hoping on Saturday I take it to the range and put about 2k shoots in b4 playing.
But the momentary sticking, do you think that's due to the o-rings needing to be broken in???
