AO SoCal DOUBLE TROUBLE 01/19 and 02/09

Well this is looking like its going to be one hell of an event!

I want to point out a few things.

1.Last time the $25 paint from sk8ermog was really $26 after taxes. He was nice enough to eat $1 dollar per case. So I suggest those that are buying paint from mog bring an extra $1.

2.I am a quantity not quality kind of guy when it comes to eating pizza. The pizza last time was good but I would rather pay $5 ($6 including tax and tip) for a whole pizza instead of $5 for 4 slices and a water bottle. I will bring the phone number for dominos in case that is what we all want to do

3.During lunch it would be great if we could ALL get together for a group picture. Lets show AO just how big AO Cali is. Sure this sounds like a no brainer but the last AO get togethers there have been some slackers that forget to get in the picture. Then cry later saying they left to get food, or they parked somewhere else, or wha wha wha boo fricken hoo.

Yeah.. it seems like people start to randomly leave after lunch. It took me a while to realize how many people were gone by 2-3 o clock. I say make it before lunch! make it mandatory to take the picture before you eat.

I think right before lunch is the best. Then we don't have missing people that went to get air and other lame excuses.

Heres another question.

I don't play a lot of speedball so I really don't know the answer.

How many is too many for 1 speedball field at a time?

I imagine 20 max.

If we have 40 people that would be a wee bit crowded.

The 1st AO SC village meet I went to last year we played speedball. I didn't know anybody and got seperated from the group. I roamed around the speedball fields for about 20 minutes and finally just jumped into a game with some random people.

If we are going to always need 2 speed ball fields to take over what if we printed out a little AO banner that could then be close pinned outside the speed ball field we are on.

That way if someone gets seperated all they need to do is find the AO banner on the field and jump in.

What do you guys think about this? If you want I will print up 2 little signs to bring.

Yes I could recognize you in your Barny costume from a mile away now.

I'm more referring to any new guys where this is their first time.

It does sound like we will need 2 fields at a time to accomodate our numbers.

Yes! Bring the extra dollar - Sk8r is kind enough to schlep your paint to the field he should not have to eat a buck per case ... hell, you should give him an extra dollar for his time/gas!

Other things YOU can bring ..... Waivers, they can be printed on line and copied. I plan on bringing a dozen or so. PENS! You can never have enough. Change 1's and 5's to help the people kind enough to step up and organize.

actually, with 7.75% tax, $25 a case turns out to be $26.94. So i'd say bring an extra $2 to cover the paint fully without having him lose money.

Oh boy here we go again, more equipment malfunctions. I have plenty of orings, shoot I'll even give you a pick of the tanks I have.

Guys my HP tank is out at hydro... well went to hydro, got hydro'd and is currently MIA.... all I have are LP tanks.

Anyone have an adjustable or HP output tank for me to borrow??? I'll be bringing a few mags that are NOT tested/adjusted because my tank has been MIA for about 6 months now.

So I'll need some tuning and such as well before hitting the field.
