At that point we were probably 20-30 feet apart. I'm pretty sure that was 2 or 3 shots in the forehead.

We were playing an "iron man" game.

Now here's the part I feel bad about. I did not touch my velocity all day. And after the iron man game there was speculation of my gun being hot. So I asked the ref to go check it. There was no chrono so he just took a few shots. With no chrono he felt the marker did seem to be shooting a bit hot.

So from chrono'ing under the limit in the morning my marker had worked its way up to shooting hot.

I have put a lot of thought into how this could have happened. It seems to be a series of stupid simple things.

    1. I left my paint in the car during play. So there's a good chance it expanded.

This expansion may have lead to a tighter paint to bore fit. Which may have increased the velocity of the shots.

    Either way I feel bad.

Did you change tanks in the middle of the day? I ask cause if the regs have different outputs then that can also cause a flex in speed.

Anyways it was out of fun so I'm sure there are no hard feelings.

I still can't bleieve how many times I bounced you, and not have any paint left during my run through.

I did switch tanks. I was playing in the morning with that 13 ci tank. And I switched to my 72/4500 towards the end. Both factory set regs that i would think are 800-850 psi.

But that is definetly something to think about.

I love how everyone was asking me if I was okay and I'm the only one that can remember the details...
Nick was at one end of the speedball field and I the other and we started and Nick just stayed put while I marched closer. At about 25 feet Nick started to hit my goggles and by the time he aimed up and hit my head I had taken a couple steps closer so I was about 20-15 feet away and took at least 2, if not 3, shots to the noggin.

I technically have one, it's not padded as much as the ones I see at shops (which I consider wuss caps) but it would have at least prevented the blood. I didn't wear it 'cause it was still hot and didn't feel like searching for it and also I didn't think Nick would aim for my head. Maybe only the chest and goggles, but not the head.

glad the swelling went down. Coulda gone the other way and turned your forehead all black and blue. That would have been interesting - turning klingon or something hahahaha

For the record I never "aimed up" or went for "the head".

I guess I need to bring my shot groupings from 5 inches to 3 inches.

Glad the damage is not too bad. I was worried.

oh and btw, I've had hits from closer and the marker was chronied at 330 in an indoor field. Thats when I started wearing padded bandanas, head bands, and bounce caps. If its too hot wear a sweat band, bandana, sandana. The bounce cap is great but the heat can get to you.

I knew they were adding another location. Didn't know it was all speedball. I think it would be fun. There is a pretty good chunk of our group that does not LOVE speedball. So an all speedball day may not appeal to them.

                      We'll see.

Wonder if you can go to both fields for one price?

Wow, response at 7:22AM... Do you have a 4 year old jumping on you in the morning as well?

The guy put a map on page 2 of that thread that showed the distance from the original field. It's definitely a drive. Just something to throw into the mix. I wouldn't mind the drive to SC Village next either.

Anyone want to check it out next month?

That new field will be funny in the sense that all the aggletts will try rolling in and first get bounced at the gate for no insurance and then I see them getting a long string of tickets trying to stay under 45 on the road to the field. Does Camp P security enforce the vehicle code?

What code are you referring too?

I pretty sure they enforce everything and then some

Or you can look at it this way... All the aggletts will tend to the new field leaving the other field alone...

But then there would be no audience for Iron Man 3!
