      Hey Lee...
most things are still a blur, but the one instance that stands out is a jedi charging me with a plastic lightsaber and a pistol-bad move on his part.
Bwahaha! I think I remember that! Was it down by sinkertown, mid-sunday (right before the final battle?)? I saw two adrenalin-crazed mofos with plastic lightsabres on our team, charging down the hill shooting wildly. I caught one of them and he told me he wasn't a Jedi, just "encouraging the team". Hehe.. I believe both got shot out trying to take the buildings...poor guys on your team got pinned down by seriously overwhelming numbers. One of the Jedis on my team with the PT, told me his hpa tank's piston was destroyed, and so he couldn't use his thousand-dollar timmy, and had to use an old pistol all day long. He claimed to have scored several eliminations, without being taken out once..
sunday, 2k right feed cockers were going for 100$. you could get 2 black dragon electros for 50$.
Dangit...I knew I should've stuck around there more Did manage to grab a spyder clone that looks like it might convert to a pistol easily, for fifteen bucks.
met snooker from the gladiators scenario team. he's looking forward to setting up an ao meet on their property near bradenton. seems the gladiaters ae also going to be beta testing the tac ones and are getting an agd sponsorship-congrats!
Yeah, I met snooker too. I think he said the spot is out off sr 64, was that correct? got it written down somewhere.. All these people kept identifying themselves by their AO handles, and I had no clue who they were I probably met you at some point in there, although I dunno when.
cold as hell saturday night-it froze but warmed up quickly. friday wasn't bad, chilly but no freeze.
Next year, motel. Ain't makin the same mistake twice. I woke up at about 3 AM sunday morning, in utter physical torture. I had been wearing a tippman and a dye jersey, a turtleneck, a longsleeve shirt, and a camo denim jacket when I went to sleep. Apparantly it cut off my circulation sufficiently to cause some sort of problem, because when I woke up every part of my arms from the elbow down felt like it had been beaten badly. Thankfully sunday was warmer or else I think I couldn't have played (had to remove some of those undershirts).
play stopped at 5pm saturday for free chicekn and all the fixins. the chicken was excellent and so was the slaw
Probably half an hour after the chicken was handed out, one of Wayne's henchmen went up on stage to announce something about some misparked car or somesuch. At the end of the announcement, with only a moderate crowd under the tent, he casually remarked "And by the way, all of the pods on the table over to your right are free." I happened to be within twenty feet, so I managed to snag a couple, but it was pure pandemonium for a few moments there. The poor guy running the booth was going nuts as people nearly jumped onto the table, scooping up pods and running. I saw one little kid with easily a dozen pods pilled up in his arms so he could barely see where he was going..the entire thing was hilarious. I doubt a single player left the field without at least one free pod Sunday.
a cocker was stolen from national, an impulse was stolen from strange and a flatline was stolen from agd.
As well as a barrel from AGD later on, I heard. I was actually standing there when the flatline was taken, waiting for the AGD rep to return to fix my valve. Someone walked off with it as we were standing there, and we never noticed Lots of people had left stuff dumped on the table next to the tent's exit, and so I guess someone just walked up and nabbed it, pretending like it had been theirs.
the food vendor, well, wasn't so hot.
Lies! Lies! I had first-degree burns on my hands and my mouth (and throat) from that hot chocolate!
even though we ruled them all day saturday and into the night, the reds managed to pull it off sunday in a few hours, gathering all the points they needed and more to win handily.
We won both tank battles, which is what I suspect did it. Our primary advantage was that a couple guys with one of our tanks had climbed up into the tower, and ran a continual spotting commentary on the blue's tanks. I was up there watching it, and while our jeep-based tank did absolutely nothing, the junky-looking mish-mash one managed to nail all four in a row both times. Poor old caravan didn't even have a chance in the second battle, it was eliminated before even making it to the village's buildings. Without those spotters, I doubt we would've won the game.

free pods? pisser! that truck was my buddies...we went to move it and missed the free pods. once again...sucks to be me. i think i'll kick in his buttocks for making me miss a freebie. i won a free pod at the give away. rubber slip on lid though. kind of sucks. i lost a toxic pod. one of my favorites. so i lost out on that deal.

the jedi incident was in the last battle. i have no idea where we were, but it was like 11:30 or so when it happened. he kept me from bunkering some guy on the red team that had run up and laid down behind a tree. i was on my way to do that when i saw him move out of the corner of my eye. after i shot him, i fgot dumped on by the guy behind the tree and two other red guys behind him.

lol on the second degree burns, and sorry to hear that. i got a half cooked burger on the first day and generic hot dogs for lunch on day two.

the trick to staying warm in cold weather: put a blanket on the ground to insulate you, wear long johns and huntimng socks and cover up good. i was toasty warm both nights and will camp again next year.

another friend bought two black dragons for 50$. he ebayed one for 55$ and is keeping the other as a loaner. i also heard classic mags were going for 100$, they were gone fast so i can't verify that one.

i don't remember where snooker said the field was exactly, i would like to go though.

and tanks: ours did kind of suck. the first 1/2 hour of the game saturday, one of our tanks faced off with a red tank. ours didn't even get a shot off before it was taken out at like 35 yards by the enemy armor.
this game was the first time i'd even seen tanks in action, it was pretty cool though.
we never could seem to find a guy with a laws when we needed one.

lets meet up next time and maybe we can get a group of ao'ers to show huh?

Guess I shouldn't mention that I wound up with 7 free pods then Actually, the ones I had all shared the same flaw..the lids were too difficult to open. Zero chance of spillage, but the flap to open them was almost non-existant, and the spring was STRONG. I wound up with four smoke-colored pods from the table, a green one some kid gave me during the prizes (those little kids up front were nabbing tons and tons of loot, and as I was sitting a bit further back inside the shade of my cardboard box, they would sometimes share their goods with me), and two more smoke-coloreds leaving the field. Every car leaving got 2 pods and 2 stickers. Also got some useless green stickies (mwuahahahha). I had a black viewloader hopper in baggy land on top of my face while I was drifting off during the prizes, which I also managed to roll over and hold onto during the resulting munchkin-attack I have a suspicious feeling it was hollywood who threw it...

Our team had a number of LAWs I kept spotting (and plenty of targets), but none of the morons carrying them ever managed to use them! I was so close to a tank at one point, I actually asked the tank's ref if I was allowed to shoot in through the flaps.
Personally, I was quoted $300 for the classic mags (and a bit higher for some of the other annod/upgraded ones), but that was early saturday, and I didn't check again. Considering the way prices got marked down, I'd believe it. Saw an 80cu tank at the Team Strange trailer marked at $50.

I wore the following: 2 jerseys, turtleneck, longsleeve, camo denim flakjacket, two pairs of longjohns, camo pants, two pairs of very heavy extra-long socks; and slept in a thick sleeping bag with a chenille blanket and an airmatress underneath. Still chilly (and uncomfortable when not snuggled up).
lets meet up next time and maybe we can get a group of ao'ers to show huh?
Sounds good to me..I ran into a few of them on our team, one in particular I remember was a dude with a black RT, but I didn't see him again and I don't remember his name.

ron williams (he's a regular at paintball experience) daughter and his only child has cancer and is in bad shape. if she makes it, she will need serious medical care for several years to come.

with this in mind, paintball experience in lakeland florida is hosting a 5 man total elimination airball tourney on march 20th 2004 with a protion of the proceeds going to her care.

entry fee is 250$ which includes air and a picture cd of the tourney action.

i just recieved this info a few minutes ago and don't know how much of the proceeds will be donated or what the prizes are as planning is recently started and is ongoing.

                    link: www.paintballexperience.com

feel free to post questions here or to email me. if you email me with your interest, i'll update via email as things develope, and of course i'll post new info here as well.

lets have a good strong aoflorida showing and help a child in need and show support for a member of our paintball family.

thank you in advance from amanda, ron, me and the owners and staff of paintball experience!
