I would suggest that PBA might be the best choice for a first practice.

As to frequency, that will depend on a number of things:
    1) Current skill level of the players
    2) Required skill level of the players
    3) Player's commitment to the team
    4) The type and number of tournaments the team wants to play

Paintball is one of those sports that you need to be playing or practicing with a team to get any better (there's not a lot you can accomplish by yourself during the week, other than physical conditioning and perhaps some target drills).

For serious teams and high-level tourneys, once a week. If the team wants to play only local tourneys for a while, I would say start off with every other week for a couple of practices and see where we are.

Ok. I'll do my best to check out PBA's team practice this sunday. Anyone up for a practice before the scenario game on the 26th?

Also, FYI I'll be out at High plains paintball this sat. Figured I should put my baby back together and run paint through her to make sure it works!

More PBA info. This is the email I just got.

          Jeff-

You may practice on Sundays, the fields are open at 10 am every Sunday. To Practice you will need to sign in at the Check in Shed (if under 18 have a parent to sign you in), pay just $10.00 field fee and that will include all day air. You may bring your own paintballs for Practice (no red or staining fills) or you can buy paint at the field. There is usually other teams there and you all will have to share the fields. Most weekends you will find the ShadowPros, Disfunction, Yard Dogs, Sharpshooters and a few other teams there. They are various levels from Rookie to Am. If you have any other questions please call the store at 303-762-6160.

              Heh Heh... oops...

I am definately playing on Friday in miliken... its from 3pm to whenever they quit, I had to leave at 6pm on the last friday game, but will stay later for this one...

I know The Deacon will be there too, and anybody else is welcome too... its sort of a hybrid woodsball/speedball course that has tons of saftey violations and a $5 "donation" is enforced... Some people have co2 fillups there, but I highly doubt HPA. pretty cool, its 90% Tippmanns and Blowbacks.

Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Nope I was checking out that high plains paintball place. Pretty decent facilities and the owners seems like a really cool guy, but it's just way too far out of anyone's way to be worth while.

So PBA it is (and timb's property).

The Scenario is the 26th. Who could make a practice on Sunday the 13th at PBA? Remember it's BYOP and $10 for field fee and all day air.

I can be there. My equipment might not be, but for what I need to do it doesn't matter.

By the way, any players from Grand Junction who want to come up on Saturday night instead of making the whole trip Sunday morning, are welcome to stay at my house in Evergreen, which is pretty much right on your way and leaves us about 40 minutes from the field in the morning.

PM me if anyone is interested and we can work out the details.

Ok I'll assume no practice this sunday. We'll discuss everything at the scenario on the 26th.

The 26th game works for me to talk things over. I'm planning on camping there Fri and possibly Sat if they let me. That way I don't have to drive all the back to Grand Junction after playing all day. See ya there.
