Listen To LPB Steerat. Your best bet is ta spend yer money on paint and get better, as opposed to looking like everybody else. No offense to those who wear jerseys, I know they serve a more practical purpose.

Stick to your BDU pants, those pockets come in handy. As for uppers, a hoodie sweatshirt will do. Comfort is the way to go, hit up some relatively loose fitting clothes. If anything, ya want your opponents to underestimate you. Remember, we're here to have fun, its not a fashion show

As far as preconcieved tactical notions, apply them. Albeit in paintball the "tactics" used are slightly modified. As you probably know, communication is still the key in being effective. In anycase, practice snapshooting in front of the mirror, especialy your weak side.

Personally I play in shorts and a T-shirt. All you pansies who need long pants can sit down :-). Ill bring my camera too. I may get tired and use up my paint before its over and need to film a bit.

LilPaintballBoy- I got my 4.5 cases so I won't need yours and I am waiting on my 2nd tank still (50/50 it gets here, I am rather POed at Smart Parts).

Ah it will be glorious, if the classic RT misbehaves I'll switch to the RT Pro and even better, if the tank comes, one of you guys might be interested in using it for a game or 2. Still... gotta have that other tank RRRRR.

Amen Z-man....a pair of shorts, t-shirt, and some knee/shin pads and i'm ready to play! It actually might be too hot on Saturday to wear a jersey.

I think you misunderstand about the clothes. Look, BDUs are not the most effective clothing available. The military uses them because they are the most effective affordable clothes. Frankly, I find them to be too hot and constricting. Thats why I want to get the jersey and the pants, because they have great ventilation and are very comfortable. And I'm sick of my heavyweight boots, so I might as well get the shoes to boot. Also, I do not own and "hoodies" and I only own one pair of jeans, so I'd need to go out and buy that clothing anyways. Maybe I'll just stick with the BDUs, but they're hotter than hell, and I'm an old man who can't take the heat too well

And as far as cost goes, buying those will not impact my ability to buy paint. I plan on using the same clothes in the rec ball, and I certainly plan on playing speedball again. Just because this is my first time does not mean it is also my last time.

ok, i misunderstood. since your gonig for it heres some cheaper things.

shoes: just go to Big 5 or any sporting store and buy a pair of cleats. really, thats all the Dye ATC's are, but they have that nifty Dye logo so that adds about 40.00

jerseys/gloves: liquid jersey and gloves
