I'd be in if it is located either downstate or central ny. Sorry but I can't drive more than three hours (work). Still though, NYAO would be great. Cousins is a great indoor field but they overcharge like crazy.

how about syracuse? Headrush is building a new place, and when they are done, itll be more than enough. And really nice too. Its closer to downstate, more central, so maybe we could get more people that way.

Eh, I could make it easily in NY. Only date is a big factor more than location for me. Is there an 'official' date to this, or is that also in the works?

ok heres the thing. i wouldnt have any problems driving 2-3 hours but that means that most of the jersey guys wont be able to make it cuz they would have to drive 4-5 hours. so im thinking maybe at most 2 hours north of nyc. any thoughts. i would also like to get the opinions of jersey ao'ers

Uh, keep it on the Island. Many more AOers would be able to make it including the Jersey guys and gals.

Here are the recomendations for feilds on the Island.

IPS Paintball Arena - 1 decent sized indoor feild
Island Paintball is Long Island, New York's source all things paintball and airsoft. Our shop, Island Paintball Supplies is one of America's oldest and largest full service paintball and airsoft stores. We also offer off site paintball and lasertag games.

(they have a small proshop on site and a full service store 15min north of them)-Great prices on ZAP

              High Velocity Indoor/Outdoor
Indoor feild- smaller feild than PBArena but onsite proshop, probably less friendly to having such a large group.

Outdoor feild- 3 10man Airball feilds, Hyperball feild
Possibly prefect venue when weather clears up, Air ball feilds are currently packed up due to harsh winds, and the ever friendly NY winter

Nearby Cousins (Cousins stores/feilds, NYX, Gen-E) proshop

              Cousins feilds-
Highly unfriendly to Automags in general and most likely would not be friendly to hosting this event

Personally its between IPS Arena and HV Outdoor, there is more lodging near IPS Arena if this was to be a large scale day.

IPS has a larger staging area by far than HV, even if HV opens the party room. Its also a more open atmosphere. I can ask Russ or Eric over at Arena if they would be ok in two sundays when I get back from Mexico, but IPS is pretty friendly to mags, they already held on AO day.

Wait... did you mean HV indoor or outdoor?

Eh, if it's on the Island I'm calling myself out. I can only put up with that damn place once a year for Coram. That's all my tolerance has for LI. I have even less tolerance for Jersey!

What about some place like Newburgh/Plattekill? I know there's a field there some place, went there 2 years ago.

well heres the thing i was thinking bout newburgh/platterkill but that would kill the possiblitly for the jersey guys to make it. well cousins will be expensive. thats the only place i know about in newburgh/platterkill. i was thinking of hold it in HV outdoor. most likely it will be warm when we set a date.

Arena would be great for me. They are really mag friendly, and the ref's actually do more than pick the lint out of their belly buttons. The newburgh/platterkill fields are ok too. We should think about coming up with a firm date. How about the end of Jan?
