Good points Koosh. At any rate, I'd rather be outdoors than in some cheap hotel room. That's why I play paintball is to enjoy creation just a bit more.

Well, I think I'm going to press for camping. If people want their own hotel rooms, they can shop around. I don't think there is going to be enough interest to justify a group rate at a hotel.

Sounds like the camping issue needs to be taken up with Anthony. Since we are going to be there two days and feeding his field money, I would think camping there after our games (Saturday night) should be alright. These are questions that ShooterJM needs to get clarified... if we ever hear from him again.

Zeroack: What kind of projected costs on the name tags? I'd pay max of around $5 w/o lanyard... $10 with a lanyard. I'm sure some paintball store can supply us a bunch of lanyard for a cheap price.

Speaking of teams, you do realize that we won't be allowed to be on the same team as the Renegades(if they show up again) this year?

              Yeah.

              Ok

Camping - Anthony said he didn't think camping between days would be a problem, we just have to be sure to clean up trash etc.

              Pricing -

              Scenario (Sat): 20+ Players $40 Entry, Under 20 $45
              $65 case for paint

Speedball (Sun): Any paint from Scenario can be used but no byop otherwise. If you purchase a case on Sunday you get free entry and air, if not $10.

Anthony also mentioned he would give the AO group special pricing at his store for anything we need or want.

YIKES! I go to work and come home and WHAM, a page and a half of new stuff!
I am all for a hotel room, to many bad things happen to me when camping after a drink or two (plus a shower is nice)
ID cards, I am for it and don't mind letting loose a few extra bucks for it.

                      Camping

I'm planning on camping. I have an ezup and (3) 6ft tables. last yr myself and bsolomon were the first to arrive on fri. this gave us our pick of the primo camping spot. and we did'nt have to get up on sat and get all our gear ready cause we done it on fri. however if there is going to be more people camping with us this year we may have to pick a different spot for more tents or put up our tents in a different area.

I most likely would get a motel for sat night so maybe we could stay there together or at least a KOA where i can clean up. I belive there is a state park just down the road from the field.

We had a great time playing with the Renegages last year. It figures we would not be on the same side this year. It will be fun no matter what.

It would be nice to know what side we are playing on. That way we could start on some costumes.

Camping both days sounds great to me. I'm there on Fri before the game.

Since we're drawing from such a wide area and trying to participate in one pre-organized event and one of our own, this is what I had envisioned to make the process smoother:

                          1. People preregister and pay a basic "package" fee through a local coordinator (me or someone else if people want them). There are several different packages depending on what people want (senario only, speed only, etc). These packages also include t-shirts. Also, the packages will only include the bare minimum of paint necessary to get individual(s) playing (typically one case).

                          2. The coordinator submits money and one of Anthony's "offical" forms to him prior to his determined preregistration. This way Anthony recieves one consolidated form from the AO crew. The coordinator also pays for tshirts at this time. This saves the printer (Bryce) the worry of know which size shirts to print and printing too many.

                          3. People show up at the meet and the coordinator distributes the packages (passes, paint and shirts) to the groups as they arrive.

                          4. People can buy additional paint as needed during the event.

I've roughed out some registration forms to this effect. If you are interested in seeing a rough draft of it, PM your email.

                          What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea to me. Might be easier to put deposits on the paint + reg fee through app though. He'll take credit cards and such. Form looks cool!

I think it's a good idea. We should just pay APP whatever way is best for each of us. We just need to let them know we are on the AO CO team. Or we could send Tony a list of our group members so we don't have to wait in a big line like last year.

Yeah, taking care of the money seperately would be a lot easier.

Do we still want to submit one group form?
