And to keep this post on topic: Has anyone contacted Tom or Jon to let them know that we're counting on them if we do in fact get 100 people to pre-register?

i'm not bashing camp. in fact, my team practices there, with one of the other local teams, paintgeeks. for rec, and practice, I have no problem with the field. However, it is my opinion that the camp fields will just not be adequate enough for the people we will be bringing with us. i personally do not feel the field setup will be to everyones their liking. this is not a stab at scott and wes. I told scott a few weeks ago when i was there, that if they got the airball up, let me know, and I will hold the event there. Its probably my fault for not being back there yet, and asking scott. but, i figured pat would have heard anything by now.

and also, yes, I hate leo, and recently, anytime he opens his mouth, it brings out a little bit of hatred. sorry if that spilled over into what may have been precieved as hatred for the camp fields, because its not.

          john -

I have contacted jon to find out an absolute minimum. I have head no word back yet.

when i do, rest assured, you will all know.

While the prices you get are good and the fields are great, I totally disagree with this. The staff at CCPB BLOW!

The old guy who does the air fills is one of the most obnoxious people I've had to deal with and the refs are so obviously board with their job it looks like they are just disgusted with anyone who isn't playing tournament ball at the professional level.

well see we say that the staff is great so that when we get there we are treated well by them and we get good deals again by saying nice things about the field.

I have to agree with Joey.... While Scott & Wed at Camp are GREAT, with what we are looking for it's just not a right fit.. Hell, I'm down there to have fun and even then the 5 games of Attack & Defend gets to be a bit old .. Granted, you can kinda go off and ref yourselves but that same barrels field does get a bit old. I love playing down there because it's so cheap but for a group like what this SHOULD be, CCPB should be a better fit just because of the field aspect of it.

Well you didn't have the owner of the field refer to your team as the "ghetto" team so you have that luxury.

They're pricks but at least durring AO days we pretty much do our own thing and don't have to deal with them.

It was nice that at the last AONE CCPB pretty much left us alone to do as we pleased. We were having attendees ref. I got there MAD late, so I didnt see much action, but it was a fun day none the less.

On another note, for future events, we should check out Fox 4 in Upton. I was there last weekend, and the X-Ball field was AWESOME! BYOP, and VERY friendly staff. I think I spent a total of $10 on field fee/air, and thats it! In addition, Upton is more central Mass...

Also, guys, PLEASE bring your friends! AO meets are not exclusive club gatherings. Newbs are welcome too! We will NEVER get enough pre-regs if we dont invite people we know! So fix up that extra gun, slap a mask on your friend/gf and bring them along!

you only spent $10 because all of august is discounted (although we could probably get the same discount for the meet). and i dont think that it would be that great for a meet, there is only one speedball field and it is 7 man, and the last time i was there there was 11 people per team, so it would be very crowded if we had an ao day there. we could reserve a day for only AO, but that would mean that it would be during a weekday when not many people would have time off.

True. They only seem to run HUGE games on the woodsball fields (tiring to say the least). CCPB definately has better options when it comes to playing smaller games. Come to think of it, I can't really think of a better field setup than CCPB. I LOVED Global's fields, but they are no more (IIRC).
