    How much is a beer and hot dog at a ball game?

    And maybe I've been playing too long but I remember when it was $60 for 1/2 case. Does anyone know how many rounds were in a case back then?

      Hey...if playing there in that game is that important to ya...more power to ya. But if my paint (or my bar tab for that matter) is $90...that's not a good thing.

            I'll be there at least one day for sure. Probably Saturday. Sunday is a good possibility as I'll be laid off by then.

              There's no paint worth $95/case...IMO...
              As I stated in the other thread about Sam's.

              /yes everyone, Sam's paint is priced high, but thats all you pay. They also have the best field staff of anywhere I've ever played at. I'll pay a little extra anytime I know I'll have a great experience and fun all weekend. Theft incidents and injury to players (not counting us older guys rolling ankles) is always almost nonexistant.

              //you are *NOT* ninjas
              ///Don't shoot the animals

              You are paying for a well experienced field staff. Many many adults (and a senior citizen or two ) are on staff and will kick out any troublemakers and generally yell at any morans to get in line. It says something when people drive in from many states away to play for the weekend year after year. Its not as big as other huge draw events but its very friendly and easy to have fun.

              /beware the 'box' if you were at Fall Game last year.

                  If all you pay is for paint, then I stand corrected. If there are no other fees, admission...air...etc...then perhaps it would be worth trying, especially if the staff is as good as you point out. I totally agree that fields that excell are fields that are well run. If games are fair and fun...people will pay a little more to play.

                    Actually yeah you do pay for air, buts its 10 bucks for an all weekend pass. National is supplying the air.

                      There are no admission or parking fees. I believe all day air (4500psi) is $10 or $1 per 1K psi.

                      CO2 is also available.

                      And there isn't a rule that you NEED to shoot a case. You can buy 1/4 or 1/2 cases. Your best savings is to split a case.

                      There are usually 4-5 Big Games per day and then there is Nic. (aka HoseFest). In there you could go woodsball or speedball among the buildings.

                        Iron core - We usually start at the white fort and hit the barrel fields from the North.

                            Nothing like the sound of about 200 players meeting 200 players at the barrel field and pushing on, or falling back, to the hyperball field.

                            But yeah Aslan, its the full experience that bring many in to play. The field is nice enough, with heavy woods and partial swamp, as well as barrel fields and fully cleared hyperball areas. The refs are all well seasoned, there are multiple photographers and the company is always great.
                            Escorting Tyger carrying the flag one game, to see our own team friendly fire him at our own base was priceless. Watching Jayloo film and yell at Suicidal Snyper to take a fort is always fun. Most of the guys who used to be sponsored by AGD (AGD Pride/ Butterscotch Yo), work as refs/techs there. Tom Kaye routinely makes an appearance, and tons of other AOers.

                            There is a group of about 20 regulars from Minnesota that helped get me started in this sport, some of them have been going 2X a year for over 10 years now to Sam's.

                                It's hard enought for us to find a table for 20, imagine if we dropped in on your dinnner. It would get ugly really quick.

                                I'm one of those MN players that's been going 2 times a year for over a decade. I have missed a couple over the years, but I have been to at least 20 Big Games at Sam's over the last 13 years.

                                I'll be there, no doubt.

                                EDIT: Look I'm on the list without stating it. Heh, in this case predictability is a good thing.
