Brothers in Arms II (SoCal) Who's in?

I was just curious to see who all from AO is headed to Jungle-Island for the second part of the Brothers in Arms game? Now I realize there were a "few" problems at the last one, but I figured I' gonna give Gunny and Ben another try. Just post up if your headed there.

I am hoping ot be there. It will mostly depend on how I stand $$ wise when summer kicks off. I know that one other AO guy is planning on coming.
The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be
a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I doubt that my team will be there, but I might. Depends on how I am doing after D-Day and how hot it is that weekend. I have offered my services as a ref for the game but haven't heard anything back yet.
Try as I might, I can't understand why people keep going out of their way to walk into a paintball that I have just shot into the air.

        Hey Evil,
I talked to gunny last month and it seems like they are doing alot in preperation and made alot of changes to fix the problems they had at the first game. Just thought I'd give you a heads up cause I know how disappointed you and your team were.

I know they are doing a lot of work to the field and trying to solve the problems that came up from the last game. But the team wants to see what happens at this next game. As for me, I am playing DDay the weekend before and will see how I feel when I get home. I may just come out to vend grenades at the game.

SouthWest VooDoo will be there. Now we just have to see if they'll allow our tank on the field. I can't seem to get registered on their board to post the question.

I'll more than likely be there. This will be my first scenero game. Should be fun! I've been paintballing for 5 years now, so I'm not new, but I am very new to the scenero game scene.

I have been doing a lot of reading, but I still haven't come across a good "guide" to scenero games. What should I expect? How do the battles go? Is this one long continuous battle or will there be designated battle zones within the park?

Also, pre-reg is $50, plus their paint (at a pre-reg special price) at $65 a case. Figure I shoot 3 cases (two days, and its looking like it will be a paint fest). Paint, air, registration, camping fee, food, gas... Looks like a little over $300, is this normal for a scenero outting?

EDIT: also, I check out mppgames forums on this scenero, read almost all the threads and posts. Signed up, haven't gotten the confirmation email yet, so your not alone bunkerhugger..

                  paintballerjack,

Try this link http://www.24hourgames.com/24HG_primerandrules.pdf or http://www.24hourgames.com/24HG_primerandrules.doc

This was written for new players to 24hourgames.com games.. The rules will be different at an MPP game but the rest should cover most of your questions..

If it doesn't, email any questions that you have and i will do my best to get you the answers that you need. [email protected]
Why does a scenario player need a high-end gun? Because sometimes it's 7 on 70.

Thanks Aiki, I read the entire thing, a good read and I think I know just about all the ins and outs.

June 26-27 should be awesome! I can't wait now. Tough part is going to get some friends to go, most of them are cheap-o's.

The only other suggestion is hold off on buying all of your paint at the first of the game.. Get a case maybe a case and half.. The first game that I went to I bought 3 cases and only shot a case and a quarter.. Play the game for bit before you commit all that money to it, you may not shoot as much as you think..

I would hold off on buying 3 cases of paint, you won't shoot as much as you normally would in a day of play. Remember, scenario ball is like a marathon, you've got to pace yourself. Bring a pump or a pistol to use if you find yourself running low on paint.

                          holy.. pre reg june 12th?!?!

EDIT: who else thinks they should have a pre reg only line. I waited two hours last time for the girl to take less than one minute to give me my badge.. i was more pissed off at that out of the whole entire crappy weekend than anything else

Ok, its a done deal. I'm pre-registering me and 2 others right now. Possibly 2 more in a day.

                            This will be a blast...

I don't know if they are planning on having a pre-reg only line but you should be able to pre-reg friday night.

                              EDIT:

I just talked to Gunny to confirm. Yes pre-regs can get their packets and paint on friday night and there will be a separate line for the pre-regs on Sat.

There will also be a showing of Saving Private Ryan friday night!
