It would help if you could post a pic of what you are looking at.
I don't have mine anymore, but as I recall the rear field strip screw attaches to the valve not the body, so if there is a hole there you should be good.
If you are talking about the front grip screw, then yes, that reciever is supposed to be threaded to accept the screw and hold the body to the rail.

sorry i may not have explained right,
the problem isnt the threading, it has been rethreaded already for the new threads screw that goes in front of the trigger but when they drillied the hole deeper they drilled the hole all the way up into the breach so every ball that gets fired has to pass over the rough hole, my biggest concern was with a break, paint will fill the hole in the breach and touch every ball thereafter. basically with a long enough screw you could block the bolt. i dont have a pic readily avail i wont be home till monday.

The hole in the breech is not normal but shouldn't cause you any problems at all. Just don't use a long screw so it doesn't enter the breech.

i dont see how it could not affect it if the hole fills with paint. i did think it was supposed to be there thank you for letting me know its not normal. my dispute is with a trade i made. he keeps checking this thread so hopefully he will see these responses. and we can settle all this BSOriginally posted by A-Tach-OneThe hole in the breech is not normal but shouldn't cause you any problems at all. anyone else have an it with a hole in the breach... or no hole? help me out and post up here so he can see that its not normal and not a manufacturing issue.

Yeah, I have owned 3 IT bodies and none of mine had a hole in the breech so I can definetly see why you are concerned. You also should have been given the info of this and told that the threads had been rethreaded. Not good on the sellers end, but everyone learns something here. Goodluck to you.
Also I can tell you I have a couple Xmags that do not have a ace board which means there is a hole in the breech. The hole effects nothing.

Thank you so much man you cant imagine how much i appreciate it. the hole is in the bottom of the breach thats why i was worried about paint pooling in it and affecting the accuracy. at this point it doesnt matter. i was never told of the issues, he also sent me an x valve missing the on off and his response was he assumed i wouldnt expect an on off because he wouldnt have... he would have put a ult in it... my arguement was that is somehting that you might want to mention when selling a valve.

im with you on this one, its his responsibility to tell you exactly what comes with it and what doesnt. iv had some problems with that kind of thing too, so now i make sure to ask if all the specific parts are there.Originally posted by one_quick_taThank you so much man you cant imagine how much i appreciate it. the hole is in the bottom of the breach thats why i was worried about paint pooling in it and affecting the accuracy. at this point it doesnt matter. i was never told of the issues, he also sent me an x valve missing the on off and his response was he assumed i wouldnt expect an on off because he wouldnt have... he would have put a ult in it... my arguement was that is somehting that you might want to mention when selling a valve.

yeah i most definately will, im not too worried about the valve because i ppald that so i will just dispute it if it comes to that, i dont usually trade id rather pay cash for things and this is exactly why it was one of my first shipping trade, and really my last.
the biggest prob is the IT body because i traded parts for it, a whole splash kit, and a mint condition Exile body.
i sent him one final pm to try and solve this before we go through paypal and feedback but he keeps logging off when i pm him i can see him online and what hes looking at but when i pm he logs off, and he never confirmed a read reciept from the beginning but yet he responds to the mails he doesnt confirm.

I machined a short slug into a ripper for a guy and the 10-32 tap drill hole went into the breech. If AGD thought it was good enough to ship a slug like that then it should work fine. you could always put a little JB weld on it.

it was a trade worth about 250 bucks, yeah i could do jb weld and heli coils and all that but i dont want beat down stuff i have to rig with jb weld in exchange for my mint parts. i think we geting it all settled, he finally agreed to call it a wash, i offered to pay shipping costs on both ends from the beginning just to get it overwith, hes been reading this thread so thanks for all the help guys.Originally posted by XmagterrorI machined a short slug into a ripper for a guy and the 10-32 tap drill hole went into the breech. PS his pm box is full (probably full from me) so if your checking this thread still, please clear some space because we have to figure how the shipping is going to work. weeks for a return that you dont even have to box seems like a long time.
