AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
With a ball in the chamber, there is back pressure preventing all the air from exiting the bolt quickly. The bolt actually cycles back with a fair amount of air pressure remaining. When you dry fire, there is no back pressure, so all the air quickly dumps out of the chamber before the bolt returns to seal it off. The result is more air per shot is used when dry firing.
Why did I instantly think up a contraption using PVC, funnel, Warpfeed and reballs when I read this post and thought of LVL 10 tuning?
