In need of a pro tune job?

All right here it is. I have a really nice mag that seems to do alright with a x-valve, ult, I-frame, and leval 10. I can walk the trigger, but It will tend to get stuck and I have to slap the back of the gun to get the trigger to reset. I,ve been all over this place looking at others probloms. and Im sick of just buying new parts and having the same prob. The only parts that are old are the left feed classic body & the L10-Xvalve. I've tried the rebuild kit and messing with shims. I just don't have the temper to mess with it any more..

So were do I send the gun as hole or just the L10-Xvalve???

I have never sent out anything like this before, But I have good job and budget so money is really not the prob. Not having a local pro shop, is the prob.

I had this same issue, It really sucks when you cant shoot back at opponents lol.

The lvl 10 needs finer tuning, As i was told.

Im not sure how to tell when it was tuned perfect.

here was my solution: tighten the field strip screw until the sear would reset back. i had a warped rail, and tighten the screw made it straight (this was with a ULT, but regular on/off it worked fine).

ya my classic valve works just fine, but I hate the trigger pull. so i might just have to send the X-valve in. sorta waiting for tuna to hit me up. if i had a bent rail i could'nt tell.

well if you just want to send it somewhere tuna is the man. Please don't expect to see your marker again for at least a few months.

He gets to them in the order they come in.

If you want people to throw out random ideas why this is happening then:

Maybe a longer (stronger) level 10 spring would help with your resetting issues.

            Or

Maybe you need a looser carrier. What happens if you go up a carrier size (still using the same carrier oring)? Does it leak?

            Good luck either way.

I think tuna will prefer you to send the whole gun

If the bolt is not resetting I believe you need more shims in your level 10/ You should be able to do that yourself.

I had a similar experience at the last AO meet. sometimes, my bolt would not reset. I changed the spring to one that is a bit heavier. it solved all my problems. Maybe also check you LX carrier. if its too tight it might not let the bolt reset either. good luck!

Are you using all agd parts? Try tightening the field strip screw with the wrench first...let me know.

Ok i just got home, yes all parts are AGD. im not so sure if i whant to tighten up the field screw any more and endup striping it out. One thing i have noticed is the bolt does not travel over the power tube very well, and there is some marks on it from the pre. owner.
im thinking the front of the X-valve could be rebuilt. But I dont know?????????????

it can be rebuilt. any agd product can be rebuilt. you are not "screwed". First things first. We (AO) can help walk you through the process of tuning your marker. It will take time and patience. Tuna or AGD can also tune your marker. You need to decide which you want to do.
