Only the spring pack uses grease, and that's just to prevent rust and corrosion. All other moving parts that hold air require oil.
Short stoking on a mag is done when you don't fully release the trigger following each shot before pulling the trigger for the next shot. The limited opening of the on-off pin combined with the shortened charge time for the front chamber means there is less air available for the shot which leads to a misfire. This is magnified with CO2 because the air passages may become restricted at higher rates of fire due to freezing.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

It sounds like you need to remove a level 10 shim or 2. I am assuming you have a level 10 installed based on the vent comment. It also sounds like you may be getting a bit of bolt stick. Remove the shims and go to the next larger carrier size using the same white oring.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

Change the bolt spring. A weak bolt spring slows the cycle time of the bolt and causes bolt stick and reduces the front chamber charge time. This leads to short stroking as well.
If you are getting a bit of leaking when starting to pull the trigger, it is a sign that you need a shorter powertube spacer. A worn sear causes the bolt to be farther forward than normal. The shorter powertube spacer corrects this.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment
