x-valve leak - tried it all - need suggestions

    Hello

Here is the map to follow:

Set-up: xvalve with L10 and ULT

First I thought it was a classic leak from the L10 so I replace the oring carrier (#7), tested, then went to lower carrier, tested. At that point still leaking.

Then I worked on the ULT but it didnt seem to be coming from there as I tried to a regular on/off also.

Then I started to realize the leak was coming from the middle of the xvalve:
    - I replaced orings 31,33,34

Still leaking. Consistent and seems to be around either the connection with the body or in the middle. Air seems to be coming from the left tiny hole on the side of the main xvalve.

At this point I am lacking inspiration. Ideas?

    part 30
    reg valve pin
if the orings get bad, it leaks air out the little hole in the side of the valve
your not supposed to but Ive replaced one of the orings on a leaky one with the top on/off oring (the tiny white one) and it fixed it

Ok if I hold the trigger down the leak stops. I have now officially changed every oring in the xvalve.

Tune that X-valve now, it not an o-ring anymore I think

''trigger pressing affects the on/off and the hiss goes away because no new pressure is being put into the chamber. You just need to possibly replace the carrier o-ring and the nylon washer behund the carrier and re-tune your lvl-x''

If you have extra carrier and shims it would be good.

Ok you mean tune the LX.

I have done that. I have swapped L10. I guess I could try to put a L7 to see if it is the L10 but I dont think so.

Well since you said you changed every o-ring it need to be tuned again since there could be a need of more shims or a different carrier.

This means your leak is not in the regulator and is in the bolt. But it seams you have established that.

How heavy is the leaking... I just had an issue with the bolt stem came out of the back of my LX bolt. Your LX bolt, with stem, should measure 2.010" long. If it is larger than that your stem may be loose. see the last few post in the LX trouble shooting thread.

Ok but I have 2 xvalves and swapped completely the L10 from one to another to try and it is still leaking.

From your description, it doesn't sound like a level 10 leak.

Air coming from the tiny side hole, change oring 24.

Leak coming from middle of valve, change orings 18, 19 (or equivalent in ULT).
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I just tried it all...I have changed everything.

I am returning the valve to the seller who can just send it back to AGD.
