AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
If the balls are rolling past the detent, it could cause your problems. Dye barrels are known for being a bit loose. That means the plastic nubbins may not be held in far enough to prevent the balls from rolling forward. You can fix this by wrapping some electrical tape around the base of the barrel where the little knob is on the back of the nubbin. It may fix your problem.
Unusually small paint can do this even if your detents are reasonable. When you adjust your detents, try to know the size of the paint you are working with. Too tight detents can cause trouble too, although the nubbins are pretty forgiving.
With loose detents, look for extra confetti coming out of your barrel, if not the occasional double ball (or triple!).
