    Unusually small paint can do this even if your detents are reasonable. When you adjust your detents, try to know the size of the paint you are working with. Too tight detents can cause trouble too, although the nubbins are pretty forgiving.

    With loose detents, look for extra confetti coming out of your barrel, if not the occasional double ball (or triple!).
