AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
its not the shims because it still leaked when i had none in. and for the sear, the back where it hits the on/off is a little rounded but the front is fine so i see no problems. i have the gold spring on it. i also tryed the red one but it didnt work well.
The spring won't make any difference if it is leaking.
The part of the sear that catches the bolt is the part that wears and causes a leak. The amount of wear is almost unoticable except under a magnifier. If you can see any wear at all, it is too much.
You infer by your message that you have shims reinstalled after testing without any. If you have any shims installed take them out. Don't use them at all. Only use them if the bolt chuffs but won't reset. If the bolt fires but won't reset, that is bolt stick and not shim related which doesn't seem to be your problem.
Is your rail bushing in place? A missing rail bushing could cause your leaking problems.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
