    What's your serial number? That's about the only thing that will tell you about when it was manufactured.

    Mags have remained pretty much unchanged over the years so there's no such thing as a "model year" for Mags.

      Is there a list somewhere with numbers and years made, and maybe months for the EMAG?

                        Jimmy, Your valve is out of a Micromag, probably dates to 1995/96, as the only Micro I'm familiar with is gfx0014xx and dates to 94/95 (We're not sure)

                        gfx=MicroMag
                        cf=AutoMag
                        Not sure about Minimag prefixes

                        My old Mag is cf11023 and dates to 1994 or so.

                            im just getting back into all this...trying to bring my mag back to life.

                            my sn is somewhere in the 6000's...yeah, its that old.
                            so old that the hole in the regulator and the hole on the valve is actually smaller in diameter than my friend's mag (cf37341).

                            im debating on whether to send the vintage model back to AGD or try to fix this one.

                              I still have a mag from early 94 with serial number CF17059. If mykroft's mag is CF11023, what does indicate as to how the serials function as a means for dating? He stated that it is probably from around 94, the must mean that the numbers are not sequential (at least they don't increase by small increments). Is there some sort of code system, perhaps? Is the number arbitrary?
                              My guitars are so much easier! Serial number = month, year, number out of the spray booth.
