AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
No, it doesn't matter, at least as far as performance. Actually, older mags were slightly different, but that is indicated in other ways. It is just something of curiousity. Everyone has thier own methodology for encoding and establishing a system of serial numbers, and some people simply wonder how to decipher it, just as you wonder why people would want to. Also, there are those who take interest in knowing exactly to when something dates, especially with something as venerable as the Automag, and especially if they are a collector. So, it is really just something of interest to some.

I'd have to agree. Realisitically I could care less. My mag still is my baby no matter how old it is. But how can I engrave "Gogging opponents since 19xx" on the side if I don't know the exact year!
