PTP did make them. Not many aftermarket makers did though, due to the more limited market.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

ok well I sent a PM to PTP so maybe I will get lucky. Otherwise I will have to get a regular double trigger frame. In the mean time I think someone on here nabbed the trigger frame I linked above

      No worries I'm broke anyway

Ummm. That would be me. I waited until you posted that you were looking for a frame with wings, then I snapped it up. Couldn't resist - A new Splinter trigger goes for $42, so I paid $33 for the 'Telli. Great deal if it really is in "mint condish" like the seller listed it. Good luck with your search...

DYE, Pro-Line, Benchmark, Powerlyte, 32 Degrees, Mako, and Centerflag all make or have made winged frames... That pretty much sums up every company that made aftermarket frames for the automag (other than people like RPG or Logic). Most of those are no longer produced, but the Powerlyte and 32* frames can still be found for cheap and Benchmark is still made.

I don't know what you mean by limited market, though

Somehow people have gotten the idea that winged frames were only for Micromags. This is NOT true in any way shape or form.

Winged frames were made because 45 frames are wider than the euro-grip found on Classic automags. While the stock euro frame lined up perfectly with the milling, the wider and heavier 45 frame used wings (like the ones found on a classic mag vert ASA) to fit in the slots on a classic rail. It made it look more neat and it kept the frame from twisting and possibly damaging the sear when the valve and field-strip pin were not installed. Winged frames were designed for Classic Mags and Minimags, or any automag with a classic-style rail. PTP used the design to hold the sear pins in their early Micromags because you can't drop a pin into a rail when there is no rail, so clearly it would have to go in somewhere.

Congrats buddy...I did notice that the auction was still up until I posted about the winged frame

I was not going to buy it anyway although I did recognize it was a good deal!

Post pics when you get it setup!
