What type of loader are you using? Try dry firing it and see if it's chuffing at the 8th ball. My guess would be your hopper.

Also, try taking your regulator piston assembly out and clean it. Grit in the back of the mag could adversely affect the ability of the regulator to do its job.
Could the regulator piston be bad??

Is it possible your short stroking it? If 1-7 is going fine I don't see why 8 is cuffing.

Either your lvl 10 is sticking (too tight a carrier), your tank isn't outputting 850+ psi (myth regs are too low), your field strips screws are too tight, or you have a restriction in your gas path (don't use a remote).

That is 99% of the causes of what you are experiencing.

Can you post a pic of your setup?

No. The regulator piston is just a pressure release mechanism in itself. Otherwise, it is just a piston that moves back and forth by air pressure and spring tension. If there is grit in the back of the valve, it won't respond to changes in pressure because the friction caused by the dirt is greater than the difference between the spring tension and the internal pressure. If that happens, the regulator may not open far enough to allow proper air flow to recharge the valve in a timely manner.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
