i have a classic valve and want a lighter pull. so if i put in an rt on off that will help. do i also need the rt sear parts for it to work?

That would be nice. I'm on the stock grip/single trigger. Was looking into the intelliframe a little but I really don't have that many problems pulling the trigger and I don't need to shoot that fast. I'm more about playing well and aggressive as opposed to spray and pray. Maybe I'll get an RT on/off as it's a cheap upgrade.Comment

I'm sure this has been asked before, perhaps we need a sticky for this question
Just to be sure...
- The RT on/off can drop right into the classic valve?
- Will it work with the classic frame/single trigger?
- Will it only work on Compressed Air?
- Can I use the RT as an actually Reactive Trigger with the classic valve. Meaning, will it just make my pull shorter or will I actually be able to do that rapid fire thing?
Thanks!

all are true i think except it doesnt RT in a classic valve, just lesser pullOriginally posted by subsonicI'm sure this has been asked before, perhaps we need a sticky for this question

To get the RT effect ( rapid fire thing) you need High pressure input around 1200 psi from an adjustable HPA tank and enough recharge rate from your valve to support it. The classic valve does not have a high enough recharge rate, to get this you would need an X Valve or RT valve. I have an old A.I.R. valve that is similar to the classic valve that I know for sure will work with a ULT on/off and this will lower the trigger pull force.sigpicComment

The retro on-off is a drop in replacement for the classic on-off. It will not provide reactivity because the regulator of the AIR valve does not route the unregulated input air to the top of the on-off pin. Its the unregulated high pressure air delivered to the top of the on-off pin that gives the retro valve most of its kick.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

Make sure to get the quad oring along with the RT on/off. The white inner oring will leak air. By doing this mod, it almost feels as good as my Xvalve ULT trigger pull. My 68 Classic now shoots very fast, especially with my Intelliframe that I now get some recharge problems but thats another thread.Comment

Great tip. Does that o-ring come with the r/t valve?Originally posted by viper-mayhemMake sure to get the quad oring along with the RT on/off. The white inner oring will leak air. The RT On/off assy comes with the small oring. I can swap it out for a quad oring if you like. Email me. [email protected]Originally posted by subsonicGreat tip. Does that o-ring come with the r/t valve?

If you do use the quad oring, you might want to use a shorter on-off pin. It has two sealing points instead of one in the center. But that also means your sealing point is closer. You need a shorter pin to get back to the standard timing length. Without the shorter pin you reduce the amount of charge time available. It probably won't be an issue, but it could potentially cause shoot down if you are really good on the trigger.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment
