A worn sear could definately cause those symptoms. The best thing you can do for this mag is replace all the orings and the worn sear. That should fix your problems. Its always best to replace the orings in any second hand mag anyway. That way you know the condition of them from the start and there are no unexpected leaks in the near future. The bolt spring should also be replaced, since it is a consumable item as well. When it wears out, the bolt won't reset properly. The sear usually lasts a long time, but if it has had any modifications such as polishing or filing of the edges, then it can have its life drastically reduced. Any wear that is evident on the sear is usually an indication that it is worn out.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
