    my ripper built... help me

I am so excited, i am going to build a ripper mag..... its going to be a monster. Im already talking to Xmagterror waiting on his shipping info and i will b sending the slug to him. I want to know what type should i make? I love a Rt used it for years. always wanted to have a emag.. but now they have the ego mag conversion.

next XMT said he can mill it for a ace board stepping in a unsure area for me. I like that eye conversion from luke. which should i do? what r the ups and downs?

is there anything else i should do do and or know?

If your talking the hidden eye mod or whatever is is. Be real careful the ripper is cut deep with the design & without specs for the eye milling to check against the original 3d models from when I designed it I cannot say they will work.

Even regular breakbeam style eyes might be tough as there are not eye covers that will match that body.

ace milled by XMT is fine sence it goes under the body & uses the agd emag ace system.

Luke just did a hidden eye modd on my chord and he needed to make a mold to do it because the surface was not flat. If you pm him, he will have a pretty good idea if it could be done or not.

Break beam eyes are always better than reflective eyes. The level 10 is good, but if you combine it with eyes, you don't miss any shots due to the bolt having to reset on a missed ball feed. The one place the eyes don't work well is when the hopper is near empty. Without pressure on the ball stack, you can get a bouncing ball in the breach which causes the gun to fire, but then chop the ball as it bounces up towards the feedneck. Having a level 10 on a gun with eyes is having a backup plan and it protects against breakage in almost all instances. Having a first option of eyes allows you to detune your level 10 to the shorter bolt spring which makes it less prone to sticking and gives better efficiency.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Here is an example of eyes at 25 bps. No chop at the end. I have never in 15+ cases choped a ball with this setup.

To make this easy several companies tried reflective eye technology and both could not get it to compete with the brake beam systems.

An ACE is the control board for reflective eyes and does not control the firing of the gun. It still needs to feed the signal into the eye input of a firing control board. A Predator is a ramping board that is no longer in production. They are two different items.

If you do an EGO conversion, use the EGO board. It will handle the break-beam eyes.

i know i want to have eyes and it will be the hidden eyes by luke.... the more i think about it i may go emag just so i can switch between Electro and Rt. So the ace is a addition to the emag board then? so if i go the emag way i want the ace right? but if i do a ego way would the hidden eye milling still work... thanks guys!

if you get the new xmag board from p8ntballforme, it has a support for breakbeam eyes,

check dealer thread for the thread,
first post tells you everything you need to know.

the 3mm eyes are not the hidden eyes,
if you get the hidden eye milling from luke and the new x-mag board and ace board from p8ntballforme you will be all set for what you are looking for.
