AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
The hidden eyes can be milled into the body and not installed. It won't affect performance but it will be a small hole where dirt can get into. The small 3mm eyes could also be milled but not installed. Same effect as the hidden eyes for collecting dirt.
All eyes, including the ACE will have to be removed and cleaned periodically. They all collect gunk around them during use.
I am not a user of the ACE so I don't know for sure, but most reflective eye systems use the same board inputs as break-beam eyes. They control the reflective sensing and provide an off or on signal to the board to indicate a ball in the breach, much like a break-beam set of eyes would.
The ACE provides a hidden eye system that senses a ball in the breach from the bottom of the breach. It is easy to mill a body for this option. The rail needs a bit more milling than for break-beam eyes, but still fairly easy.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
The emag grip frame is a bolt on upgrade guaranteed to work with your mag without modification. It will be heavier than an ego grip frame.
An ego-mag upgrade will require you to modify the grip frame to activate the sear and to add additional air lines and a low pressure regulator. You need to have some mechanical know how to do this upgrade. The finished product will be light and compact.

how much heaver is it, its been a long time since i have have held one.... I have a angel lcd and its not to bad in weight, it is like a feather... now u have to keep in mind i will have this ule milled and get any unnecessary fat off. but i also see the ego frames complete.... what would be the weight differences..... doesnt a ego run off a 9volt?
The emag lowers will be a good bit heavier. Even if you ULE mill the lowers you're talking about pretty small gains in weight savings. I think the battery itself is heavier than frame and you can't really do much about the battery weight.
I have both an Emag and an Ego-mag. I like the Emag because it covers the the electronic side of things, and I also have an awesome mechanical mag, all in the same gun. I like the EP mag because it is lighter weight, easier to change board settings and it gives you that "WTF is that?!" factor at the field. I've got the hidden eyes on my EP mag and they work great and keep it looking clean without needing eye covers.
With that new board that is coming out for the Emag, you'll have the versatility of new and updated electronics, but with the classic emag look. I'd say if you want a great gun that will be "easy" to put together and will work amazingly as an electro-blaster, or a mechanical RT beast, you should go with the Emag. If you want to tinker, want to have something a little bit different, then I'd go with an EP mag.
Ep mag? Idk I'm on a budget on this I love my mag but the last time I played with it it was a tank, its a rt classic, maybe a cf tank would help but I really like the emag options and it seems like there is plenty of support there, bout how much does a emag have? What's the trigger like on a ego mag? How about that new emag bettery, it looks smaller I think

are you doing this to a RT classic? If so that leads to a question
whose making you a ripper body for a classic RT?
There are concerns with converting a RT to electric
Ive installed emag lowers on a RT, you have to drill out the rear hole to fit the RT banjo bolt as well as other minor adjustments
you might not be able to get an Ego frame to work with a RT, the frame isnt the same thickness as a RT frame, therefore your going to run into isues with getting the banjo bolt to seal properly
